At WOW, IMA Teknoweb presented machinery for the production of disposable gloves and mitts, an up-and-coming disposable market. According to Guido Conio, chief creative officer, these products were initially developed for washing people who could not bathe themselves in hospitals and elderly care facilities but have moved into markets like pet grooming, household cleaning and dust removal.


IMA Teknoweb's Mark II Glove line uses ultrasonic bonding to seal the gloves or mitts in multiple shapes and materials. They are made natively wet and packed folded, bi- or tri- in flowpack. Additionally, the line allows the user to add features like using two different nonwovens for the two sides of the product, the addition of an internal impermeable film to protect the wearer's hands and a wrist elastic to secure the glove to the user. 


The line can produce 600 gloves per minute fully wet. There is also an added capability to make a dry glove pre-soaped so the wearer just needs to add water before use.
